If you frequently suffer from fatigue, Haematonyl offers relief. It provides organic iron, which contributes to reducing fatigue.

Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, which is important for normal oxygen transport in the body. Organic iron has a higher bio-availability, as a result of which it is more readily absorbed in the body.

In addition, iron supports energy metabolism and helps to generate energy from proteins, lipids and carbohydrates. Moreover, it improves concentration and contributes to maintaining normal psychological functioning. Haematonyl therefore offers great relief during times of mental exertion, such as exams.

In general, the body does not absorb iron that well from our diet. Additionally, our diet often do not contain sufficient amounts of the mineral. To support an optimum absorption of iron in the body, Haematonyl als contains additional minerals, vitamin B and C.

Usage

Usage Take 1 capsule daily during or immediately after a meal. In certain situations it could be necessary to raise the dosage to 4 capsules a day for a certain period of time (around 6 weeks). After this, a renewed check on iron status is recommended.
Warnings Not to be used in cases of iron overload disorder (hemochromatosis). Iron is a pro-oxidant. In principle, increasing the iron level in the body can lead to increased oxidation of LDL cholesterol and increased damage to the walls of the blood vessels. Increased iron levels can also cause other consequences of elevated blood pressure. As such, adding antioxidants to the regimen is strongly advised. High intake of other minerals (particularly calcium, magnesium and zinc) could inhibit iron absorption. Anti-inflammatory medication, e.g. aspirin and ibuprofen, can boost iron-loss through intestinal bleeding. Tetracyclines and high doses of aspirin are known to inhibit iron absorption. Phytates (in cereals), oxalates (e.g. rhubarb) and tannins (e.g. tea) in the diet can form unsoluble compounds with iron, thereby hindering absorption as well. Please consult an expert about this.
Storage advice Store in a dry place at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children.
