As far as we are concerned, vitamin D is an important daily supplement for everyone. The drops can easily be taken at high doses and are easy to incorporate in drinks and meals. During the winter, our bodies produce insufficient vitamin D from the sunlight. But that is also difficult during the remainder of the year. Autumn or spring, when the sun is at its peak, we are often indoors. And in the summer? Then we protect ourselves, of course, against the sun. That also impedes vitamin D production. Vitamin D fulfils an essential role in maintaining healthy bones and teeth. It increases the absorption of calcium in the bones and it contributes to normal calcium levels in the blood. Vitamin D3 is much more effective in increasing the vitamin D levels than D2. It is more effective at binding to the vitamin D receptor and because of this its effect is up to ten times stronger than that of vitamin D2. In addition, our vitamin D3 is dissolved in a fat matrix of medium-chain fatty acids, therefore this is more readily absorbed in the intestine. Furthermore, in terms of our pure D3 there is no risk of an overdose of vitamin A, which is perfect if you are pregnant.
