Krill oil 500 mg contains a high dose of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. What makes it unique are the phospholipids, which are absorbed by the body more readily and rapidly than regular fish oil.
Krill oil is harvested sustainably from small shrimp-like crustaceans. The EPA and DHA in krill oil are good for the heart, blood pressure and help maintain normal lipid levels in the blood. In addition, DHA is good for the brain and helps to maintain normal visual acuity.
Krill oil cointains EPA and DHA in the form of phospholipids. This greatly enhances the uptake of these fatty acids in the body, making it more effective at a lower dose than fish oil. On top of that, due to naturally occuring antioxidants krill oil oxidizes more slowly.
The krill we use for our krill oil is harvested sustainably in the clean oceans surrounding Antarctica. This guarantees that the oil is very low in heavy metals and PCB’s. In addition, the krill is harvested in accordance with the quality standards of the MSC, the Marine Stewardship Council.
The MSC certification guarantees that krill stocks remain at healthy and sustainable levels, damage to the ecosystem is kept to a minimum and (inter)national fishing laws are adhered to. Therefore, the whole delivery chain, from harvest to food supplement, is guaranteed to be sustainable.
